Joyride Caught on Tape

A South Carolina man, curious about the treatment of his 2010 Chevrolet Camaro placed a recording device in his car when he took it to a mechanic. After his car was returned, he had evidence of the employees taking his car for a joyride and discussing how they would make him pay for the damage, even though they destroyed the clutch. It’s a car enthusiast’s biggest fear come to life! (via Yahoo! Autos)

Sorry, Coach. It’s Just Too Hot

As I reported earlier this week on Sports Update Monday, the Florida Gators defeated the LSU Tigers last Saturday by a score of 14-6. When asked about the loss, a few of the Tigers’ players had a very interesting explanation. They blamed it on the weather. Yes, the Tigers attributed their poor performance to the heat and humidity of the Florida weather. Oh well, I guess there’s always next year when the Gators play the Tigers at home in Baton Rouge, where there apparently is no such thing as heat or humidity. (via Yahoo! Sports)

Protector of the Pizza

A Florida man was arrested on Monday for attempted robbery on a Papa John’s pizza delivery man. Thankfully, after shocking the delivery man in his stomach with a stun gun, the suspect was unable to pry the pizza boxes from the delivery man’s hands and he was arrested by police short after. This just goes to show, that there is no such thing as a free meal. (via Miami Herald)

Officer Big Mac Strikes Again

In St. Petersburg, Florida, a man was arrested by police after he impersonated a police officer in a Tampa McDonald’s drive-thru. The suspect showed McDonald’s employees a fake badge and gun and demanded free fast food. He said he had just participated in a sting operation and did not have his wallet on him. McDonald’s eventually called the police, and after some resistance, the man was taken to jail. (via Miami Herald)
