A Real-Life “Maneater”
The headline went like this, “Oates is accused of biting Hall in the face”. When I initially caught wind of this story, I initially feared the 80’s pop powerhouse duo were in the midst of a crazy band feud! However, after further investigation, the article was actually about an intoxicated argument in Virginia between neighbors that ended with Robert Oates being charged with biting Scott Hall in the face. Both men have been charged with felonious assault and resisting arrest. This story gives Hall & Oates and “Maneater” a brand new meaning. (via Yahoo! News)
What He Said
Christmas lights on your house and lawn are a wonderful way to showcase your Christmas spirit. Granted it’s not for everyone, but a picture of a woman’s sarcastic reaction to a neighbor’s Christmas decorations is causing a viral uproar on the internet. An Arizona woman living next to an elaborate and festive house knew she couldn’t compete with her neighbor’s creation, so in response, she put the word “Ditto” in Christmas lights with an arrow pointing to her neighbor’s house taking a shot at the owner’s tacky decorating. #PopeProblems
In today’s day and age, social media is quite prevalent with most top businesses, events, sports teams and figureheads. This week, in Vatican City, Pope Benedict decided he would throw his hat into the ring by composing his first tweet. As expected, things didn’t go quite as planned, when the pope tried to send his first tweet via tablet device, he allegedly pressed too hard and had to be assisted from his friends nearby, shortly after he got the hang of it. You can follow the pope on his English speaking account, @Pontifex. (via Yahoo! News)
