Insurance savings in Florida when customers purchased car and homeowner’s insurance from the same provider saw the second highest growth in the nation year-over-year, according to a report released Thursday. Savings in the Sunshine State improved 65 percent year-over-year, second only to the 66 percent savings in Hawaii.
That growth in savings, however, still doesn’t bring Florida’s insurance breaks close to savings realized on a national level. Consumers across the country save an average of $295 a year when they buy car and home insurance at a one-stop shop, according to the report. That represents a 16 percent increasing in savings compared to last year.
Insurance shoppers in Florida however only saved an average of $243 when bundling car and homeowner’s insurance products, even with the 65 percent increase from the $147 saved on average last year.
