Gas prices have been steadily declining in South Florida and it feels like a blast from the past. The average price at the pump in Florida is $1.98 and that’s 26 cents lower than last year’s average of $2.24 in January of 2015. The last time gas prices were this low in South Florida was almost a decade ago. Although it’s nice and everyone loves playing less than $2 a gallon, it unfortunately won’t be this way forever. Experts predict the prices could raise 50 cents from February to May because of fees from refinery maintenance.
